Bob’s career in the insurance business began in 1980. In 1981 he began specializing in employee benefits and executive planning for small and medium size companies. He spent the next 14 years becoming an expert in his field by expanding his markets and continuing his education in employer benefits, business insurance and estate planning. Bob is an active member of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of Action Sertoma, the fund raising arm of Sertoma Centre, which offers training and workshops to individuals with disabilities. Bob and his wife Lori reside in Tinley Park and are members of Parkview Christian Church.
Lori joined Alliance Benefit Consultants in July of 2000 and became licensed in life and health in October of that year. Formerly the Business Activities and Assistance Manager for a large regional Chamber of Commerce, Lori is experienced in customer service, claim resolution and individual/small group sales.
Steve began his insurance career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. In 1975 Steve left Blue Cross and started his own insurance agency. In 1983 he met Bob Scott and formed a great friendship, which ultimately led to joining forces at Alliance Benefit Consultants. Steve has specialized in the life, health and disability markets since 1971 and has enjoyed working with clients in these areas. Currently, Steve lives in Las Vegas and he maintains his relationships with his long-standing clients in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Dom’s insurance career began in 1985 as a Prudential agent. In 1990 he started the Dom Porto Insurance Agency which offers all business and personal lines insurance products, including life, annuities, disability, health, auto, home, boat, recreation vehicles, Medicare and long term care. He completed the Life Underwriters Training Council Program and its financial planning course. Dom has had the pleasure of growing his business for the past 25 years by referrals. His agency’s motto is “Whose Primary Responsibility is to his Client”. Dom is an active member of the Action Sertoma Club, holding various Board positions. He is married to Terri and resides in New Lenox.
Terri began working at the Dom Porto Insurance Agency in 1997. Terri is experienced in customer service and overall office management. Before joining Dom’s office, Terri was a manager for McDonalds Corporation for ten years. She is an honorary member of the Action Sertoma club where she volunteers with fundraisers and various events that help raise money for the Sertoma Centre, an organization that benefits adults with disabilities.
Laurie joined the staff of Alliance Benefit Consultants in May 2002. She had retired from the daycare field after more than 35 years of teaching as well as training home daycare providers and supervising programs for teens and seniors. Laurie says what she finds most rewarding at Alliance Benefit Consultants is customer service and working on quotes and spreadsheets which shows our clients what we can offer them – which is the best product at the best price.
